The FACTS you NEED to know about Bed Bugs |

Something is biting me and I don’t know what it is, what can I do? |

Firstly it is important to stress that there are many possibilities of biting insects present in the world. Bites do not automatically mean Bed Bugs. If you do not see any of the distinctive signs of a Bed Bug infestation it is possible that you may have a problem relating to: 1. Fleas 2. Carpet Beetles (see picture below) 3. Dust Mites 4. Bird / house mites (see picture below) 5. Scabies or lice As a guide to identifying what could be biting you we would recommend you do the following: · Inspect the area thoroughly looking for any trace signs of insects · If the bites occur mainly between the fingers, arm pits or groin area consult a physician about scabies. · Use a plug in flea trap to monitor for the presence of fleas · Inspect loft spaces and external walls for signs of birds nesting area which could be indicative of either carpet beetles or bird mites For the best information on unknown and unidentified pests see: |
